All micro channel heat exchangers tend to provide high rates of
heat transfer per unit volume due to the advantages of reduced scale
(more heat transfer area/volume and higher heat transfer
coefficients). Mezzo's designs incorporate the usual
advantages of small scale, but also give other advantages not
usually seen with micro channel technology:
- low pressure drops
- affordable
- damage tolerant
- scalable to very large applications (100s of kW to MWs)
