Mezzo has developed custom thermal solutions using
its micro channel heat exchangers to provide solutions to a number
of customers in different industries including: Aerospace, Defense,
Electronics, Ground Vehicles, HVAC, Petrochemical, Power, Naval, and
Racing. This technology has provided significant benefits over
standard plate fin technologies by: reducing weight, reducing
volume, reducing cost, reducing pressure drop, increasing heat
transfer, and increasing fuel efficiency.

MICRO CHANNEL HEAT EXCHANGER APPLICATION EXAMPLES:

“Mezzo’s radiators were first used by
Andretti Green Racing (AGR) in the 2008 Indy 500, and continued
to be used throughout the rest of the season. Mezzo’s
radiators were able to provide significantly more cooling than
the unit used previously, and also proved to be very damage
tolerant. We were very pleased with their product.”

Return Fuel Air Cooler (RFAC)
Mezzo proposed two versions of the Return Fuel Air
Cooler (RFAC) heat exchanger for the Joint Strike
Fighter (JSF):
Design 1: Within a given envelope,
Mezzo’s design provides twice the UA as the existing
unit with the same air-side pressure drop.
Design 2: Mezzo’s second
design provides the same UA, 50% lower air-side
pressure drop, the same UA (heat transfer), and
significantly lower weight.
Both units were designed to satisfy given vibration,
shock, and sand and dust fouling requirements which were
provided. |

HUMVEE Radiator
Mezzo’s replacement micro channel radiator for the Up
Armored High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV)
provides:
31% more heat transfer
25% less air side pressure drop
40% less weight

Micro Jet Cooling Array
(MJCA)
Impingement cooler with extremely high convection
coefficients used for direct cooling of high heat flux
surfaces. Including computer chips, lasers, and
other electronic components.
