Mezzo was founded in July 2000 as a spin-off company from the Micro-Systems Engineering Team Laboratory (µSET) at Louisiana State University. The primary mission of the company was to commercialize newly developed and patented micro-manufacturing technology and patented thermal products that were made using the micro-manufacturing technology.
Mezzo founders have worked together developing micro device technology for the last decade. Mezzo’s overall management team has broad experience, the foundation of which is the founders’ strong technical expertise in micro-manufacturing, engineering, and thermal products. The executive management members contribute complementary expertise and experience in areas such as corporate and intellectual property law, corporate accounting, finance and strategic planning, manufacturing, quality assurance, program management and marketing. These experiences have been developed in a variety of settings ranging from corporate experience at hyper-growth companies, aerospace companies, consulting work, and academic work at leading technical institutions.
